While walking through our numbered days on this earth we occasionally meet individuals who you not only connect with, but become family with. These people are ALWAYS there when you NEED them most & the very first to offer a helping hand. When this person has a special birthday you want to make sure that everyone knows about it because people like him come along once in a lifetime.
Our OFFICIAL GLIDESTER Don Parks is celebrating his birthday today. For those of you who frequent SuperGlides performances everyone’s birthday is their 21st and this is no different. The band had the opportunity to meet Don early on in our career when his now oldest son Benjamin would join us on stage & play tambourine with the band with NO FEAR. This is when Ben became our very first 6th member of the band.
As the years passed Don, his wife Wendy & their now 3 sons have become mainstays at SuperGlide shows, no matter how far they had to travel or how many days they had to take off from work. When the band needs anything & I mean anything, Don & his family are there with open hearts & open hands, ready to do whatever it takes to make the show go on as scheduled.
Don is also the individual responsible for creating the crazy ideas for mic stands that you see Joey use on stage. This my friends is FAMILY, the people God puts in your life for some unknown reason that makes our journeys in life a little easier to travel.
So when you see DDP out at a show be sure to say hello & this weekend especially, a BIG HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

We cannot begin to express our appreciation for the packed house we had on Saturday night at the Lake House Tavern in Mooresville (Formerly Exit 36 Grill & Billiards). You guys danced from the beginning to the end, sang your hearts out, cheered so loud we could barely hear ourselves and made it a definite night to remember!
Another big thank you goes out to the new ownership & staff of the Lake House Tavern who always treats us like family whenever we are there! Folks if you haven't visited the Lake House Tavern you are missing something pretty amazing. They will be booking only the hottest bands, serving the finest foods & providing the best drink specials around. Major SuperGlide Update
Hello Everyone!
We wanted to give everyone an update on what is going on in the wonderful world of SuperGlide.
We have been in the studio for the biggest part of January doing pre-production, laying down basic tracks & now finishing up the lead & backing vocals for the new SuperGlide cd everyone has been asking for. We are basically living in the state of the art recording studio called The Dog House here in Charlotte, NC preparing to blow everyone’s mind with our finished product. Mr. Rich Mason is at the helm, working alongside the band, putting the finishing touches on our new un-named covers cd that we will be selling at our shows as well as at some area retailers. We will begin the mixing of the cd starting next week & everyone who has heard the project in its early stages has been blown away by the sounds Rich has gotten out of us. Now we cannot wait for our incredible fans to hear it. Updates will continue on the website as well as on our Facebook & My Space sites so stay tuned.
Also the photo section has been updated & will continue to be updated as well as some sneak peeks into the recording process at The Dog House. Rich Mason & his awesome studio will no longer be named Charlottes best kept secret after we leave as word has already begun to spread! As the final days of recording draw to an end we will be offering a little sneak peak or two as well as a track listing to wet everyone’s appetite. We know you will be as thrilled as we are at the finished product so stay patient.

Merry Christmas To Everyone
Hello Everyone!
We would like to wish everyone out there a safe, joyous & the merriest of Christmas. This time of year can be so hectic with a million things going on so don't forget to take time out for yourself. The best way to do that is to come out & see a SuperGlide show. We will be making our very 1st trip into the new Wild Wing Mallard Creek location on Saturday night, December 26th & we are so very excited about this. We have always had an amazing fan base in the University area so now you can finally come out & see what all of the buzz is about with the new & permanent SuperGlide line up.
We are always fine tuning our show & adding a ton of new songs that will take you back to a time when life seemed less hectic, a time when nothing mattered except being out with your friends. When laughter & music filled the air, that is SuperGlides goal every night. We want to swing back the clock to those days that we all cherished so much. Every perfomance will be something special, something unique & something you will want to tell your family & friends about. That is our very special promise to you.
